The faces behind the science
A total of 39 Principal Investigators have teamed up to build this collaboration venture specifically aimed at understanding the neural pathways underlying pain. The Heidelberg Pain Consortium (SFB1158) was initiated in 2015 and is currently in its second funding period.
Besides the principal host, the Medical Faculty Heidelberg, different groups from the Medical Faculty Mannheim, the Faculty of Bioscience as well as long term associates at the German Cancer Research Center, The European Molecular Biology Laboratory, The Central Institute of Mental Health (ZI), the Technical University Munich and the Max-Planck-Institute for Medical Research comprise this unique cooperation.
